The Nematron PowerView touch screen HMI delivers
a cost effective ease-of-use solution in one flexible system. Use
PowerView to maximise the combined performance of general Control
System or PLC Workstation applications, Data Capture, Monitoring
systems or wherever a local operator interface is required to display
machine or process information graphically.

The
PowerView range offers three different bright image screen
sizes, 5.6", 7.7" & 10.4" and is available with both Ethernet
and Serial communication ports. Embedded technology accentuates
ease-of-use and simplifies the development function - simply
develop the application on a PC and download to the PowerView
for simulation and test. Application developers can start
developing straight out of the box! |
Crisp
interface action is delivered through the high performance RISC
based architecture. The PowerView touch screen input response has
proven to be amongst the quickest in the industry and makes it ideal
for both discrete manufacturing and process applications.
ViewBuilder Development Application Software
Whether
considering a simple or complex application ViewBuilder offers a
rich pallet of tools, instructions and functions to quickly configure
an HMI software application. Simply select from an extensive ready
to use Object Library to introduce a wide range of functions. Switch,
Lamp, Numeric & ASCII Data Input and Display, 'Pop-up Windows',
function keys for window navigation and Animation, Alarm, Bar Graph,
and Trending are ready to be pasted into the ViewBuilder Editor
workspace for configuration. Building graphic screens with ViewBuilder
is simple and effective.

A comprehensive library of serial and
Ethernet drivers is available to support a broad range PLCs and
Motion Controllers
Support for Master/Slave communications

PowerView supports master/slave communication configurations
to enable multiple HMIs to interface to one PLC over a single communication
port. Either Ethernet or high speed serial is available. On the
PowerView/E (Ethernet version) the communication between the HMIs
can be Ethernet based, even if the PLC requires a serial communication
link.
Offline and Online simulation

The ViewWindow emulator function in ViewBuilder offers
the application developer multiple options for test and simulation.
1. Offline: Use ViewWindow to simulate and troubleshoot the
project Offline on a stand alone PC.
2. Direct Online: Choose a device driver from our extensive
library and connect the PC directly to the PLC without the intervening
PowerView HMI (time limited option suitable for RS232, RS422 and
RS485 connection).
3. Online: Run the application on the PC using the PowerView
to interface to the PLC or Motion Controller. Only download the
application to the PowerView when the development is complete!
Typical Applications
1. Pointe Controller Application
PowerView provides the ideal HMI platform for low cost Embedded
Control Applications. Opening up the window on your production line
or process by enhancing local operator interface invariably leads
to improved efficiency. Used in a PLC workstation application the
Ethernet version of PowerView supports a multiple controller network
on Modbus TCP/IP.
2. Data Acquistion
The versatile OptiLogic
industrial Ethernet I/O system with its wide range
of sensor interfaces and a Nematron PowerView provide the
building blocks for a highly distributed data acquisition
system over cable or wireless media.
